Welcome
Welcome to Madison-Grant Junior/Senior High School, home of the Argylls! We are halfway between Fort Wayne and Indianapolis in Fairmount, Indiana, serving students in grades seven through twelve. Our academic programs range from college dual credit opportunities to career preparation courses. We utilize Google Chromebooks for our 1:1 technology initiative, which offers our students a technology-enriched curriculum that will prepare our students for the 21st century. We strive to ensure that every Argyll graduate is college and career ready so that they can prepare for the next phase of their lives.
We invite you to take some time to get to know our website and our excellent staff members. We encourage our school community and visitors to use the website for important academic and event information for MGJSHS, where we strive to inspire, challenge, and cultivate excellence in every Argyll.

Career Day 2023
On Friday, January 6, all MGJSHS students participated in Career Day. Seventh and eighth grade students participated in a Reality Store and Tech Trek competition. Freshmen went to three career sessions with local professionals, had a meeting with John Hinds Career Center, and joined the Reality Store in the afternoon. Sophomores went to four career sessions and learned about their personal style through the DISC assessment. Juniors and seniors went to four career sessions in the morning and then had three additional sessions focused on college and careers available in Grant and Madison counties in the afternoon. Over 30 local professionals joined us to share about their careers and experiences—many of our speakers were Madison-Grant alumni. It was an active day full of exciting learning opportunities!

A Message from Our Principal
I am so excited to get to know the students and families at the Madison-Grant Jr/Sr High School this year and begin building relationships. I am in my 28th year as an educator and am coming to you directly from Francesville, Indiana. Looking ahead to this upcoming year, we have a lot of things our team is working to put into place. We’re excited about all of the things Madison-Grant can offer our students.
We’re working on expanding a lot of our current offerings, from our dual credit programs to advanced robotics to our Ag program. We’re working on new curriculum in our Ag program and bringing in animal science. We’re going to partner with the community to help develop the FFA by providing avenues for community mentorship and involvement with our students. The Robotics development is really exciting and is right in my wheelhouse. I helped start this program at Perry Meridian and love the opportunities it provided to students. We’re going to need engineers, electrical and programming engineers from our community, to introduce our kids to this type of technology. It’s like having a NASCAR team for robotics when you get involved at this level. We’re really looking forward to finding some partnerships and local talent to help expose our kids to these types of technology in a safe space, with a low-stress environment. I’ve done this before, and it’s a great way for kids who have those same career goals to be around like-minded students. Our kids can be competing against other teams from all over the world. We can level that playing field and build leaders to come back to our community and help continue building this program. We have so much to offer, and this is only a glimpse of the opportunities available at MG.
My goal for our students and families is to make their time here the best experience they can possibly have at Madison-Grant. When a student is graduating, I want them to have used our facilities and team to the fullest extent to meet and exceed their goals. Whether it’s being a certified welder, military personnel, lawyer, doctor - that they’ve had every opportunity to help them thrive while they are here. They’ve exhausted our resources and feel really good about it when they’re done.
We look forward to a fantastic school year, and I encourage our community and families to always feel free to reach out to me via phone or email. If anyone would like to get involved in our programs, please reach out to me directly. Let’s have an amazing year with our students and community at Madison-Grant!
